About the Author
Autobiography
A successful entrepreneur, researcher, teacher and author, Trina has traveled a long and difficult road toward healing and learning to love herself.  Now, by sharing her experience of healing and self-love, she brings that lesson to others who are ready to embark upon a similar journey.

Born and raised in a small farming village in Hopetown, on the south coast of the Gaspe Peninsula in Eastern Quebec, Trina enjoyed visiting the elderly when she was a little girl and dreamed of being a writer and speaker.  Her path took her to university in Montreal, a kibbutz in Israel and led to her doing research in Australia, attending a housing research conference
in China and having a marketing career in the United Kingdom.  Four years ago she moved to the southwest coast of Florida and has now made it her home.

She has been featured in The Venice Herald Tribune for her volunteer work with the Women’s Resource Center in teaching women to live “Life as a Dance,” for her work in the community as coordinator of the “Love and Thanks to Water” ceremony and, most recently for the release of her book, Just Love Her.

Trina continues to write and speak about the chronic brain disease of addiction and how it affects entire families and ultimately communities and has created a support-advocacy group for parents of addicts called PAST (Parents of Addicts Sharing Time) who meet twice a month in Venice, Florida.  She has written several articles that have been featured in the following magazines and newspapers: SPEC, Positive Change, The Solution News and Women’s LifeStyle.

Sean and Angie are her “Gifts from God” and every day she is grateful for the relationship that they share.
